The Shingle Springs Tribal Government

As an independent and sovereign nation, our Articles of Association govern the Shingle Springs Rancheria. Every year the general council elects our seven-member tribal council for staggered three year terms. A chair-person and six council members sit on the council.

Our tribal government is responsible for establishing policies and overseeing the legal and business affairs of the tribe while providing for the economic well being of its members. All other tribal members over the age of 18 are designated as voting members of the general population.
